What we can learn from this publication?
The objective of this review is to study the role of gubernaculum in the testicular migration process.
The publication highlights the mechanism of testicular descent to the scrotum, which is essential for proper spermatogenesis and propagation of species. It explains why the blood supply of testis and epididymis comes all the way from the abdomen. The paper describes the mechanism and probable causation of ectopic and undescended testis. The review also highlights the factors responsible for a congenital hernia and hydrocele.
